You're absolutely right sir that it would we wastage of time to read each an every line of NCERT (especially when if you're hopping for an amazing rank in JEE Mains & Advanced)
but I've read the book (though not completely), i found very interesting lines & paragraph written in the chapter. I think so that i shouldn't do so in case of Chemistry (especially inorganic). Trust me, when i started reading ch 1 of NCERT Physics i was getting interested and whenever i got the topics from which i wasn't familiar I still read them. You know, In spite of that i read about (80-85)% of the chapter. And *While reading NCERT it sounds like someone is telling something to me*. So, *Overall the book is not that bad*. I found something is written extra in the boxes on NCERT and I think so *Reading made me thinking deep* that is very important for JEE Advanced.
