Small bust adjustment ( SBA ) with PRINCESS SEAMS. Only a few lines & a better fit for you.

Princess seams are lovely and there are many garments that have them: jackets, blouses, dresses... the pattern might not cater for your sewing bust cup size and that is totally fixable with a Small Bust Adjustment (SBA) if your sewing cup size is smaller than the pattern's sizing.

There are a few differences to the traditional Small bust adjustment because we have two pattern pieces instead of one. The improved fit is very worth it!

Today you'll see:
*Dress bodice taken from a B cup to an A cup
*Optional waist adjustment after doing the SBA

These are definitely the types of videos people come back to. Unless you need to do it, it’s not as interesting as the garment sewing ones. But when you do need to do it! It’s the most important thing on youtube! Thanks for the tutorial. Will this not reduce the highest point shoulder to bust measurement? Also, the front length?

Very useful, thank you. I just used this on a princess seam vest and it worked wonders. The only thing is, I had to readjust the waist, as if one follows the instructions as shown, the waist gets reduced by 1/2 inch as well. Times that by 2, and that's a 1 inch reduction overall around the waist. I wish I also needed a small waist adjustment, but I don't :(

I’m working on simplicity 9326 at the moment. I lowered the bust curve but there’s a little puckering above the curve. I’m about an A cup in patterns. I wish I had of seen this video before I cut my dress.

I'm small busted so I wear a padded bra. Do I use my padded bra as my measurement when picking pattern size? Do I still need to do an SBA? I get tightness across the bust, underarm at the front. Will the SBA help, as u mentioned that in your video. I've been broadening my back... I also have broad shoulders 🤔 Your video's are super informative❤
