M C Escher Tessellation Tutorial

M C Escher was a graphic artist who produced prints and drawings featuring optical illusions that are loved for their ability to intrigue and entertain.

In this video you can learn how to produce your very own tessellating patterns in 3 different ways. Once you have had a go at them, you will have all the skills necessary to experiment and create amazing tessellating works of art.

This video is a less detailed version of an online workshop ran by Sam Bradbury Art during March 2021.

suggested for ages 10+
There are a few things you will need to take part in the tessellation exercises:
- A ruler
- A sharp pencil (and sharpener)
- Plain paper
- Card (thin but sturdy)
- Scissors
- Tape

I'm sorry that more people aren't watching this. There are very few explanations of this process. I'm going to try it tonight. I do think having a drafting table and using a t-square and triangles would speed up the process greatly. Thanks for your hard work!!
