The SDGM bypass harness must be installed before using the AutoSync on 2017-2020ish GM cars/trucks/SUVs ***that are equipped with IO5/IO6 radio-navigation systems***.
Check your glovebox RPO code sticker for "IO5" or "IO6". The 2017-2020 year range listed above is NOT absolute, some GM vehicles phased out the IO5/IO6 radios starting in 2018, etc... The 2019/2020+ T1xx 'new body style' pickup trucks do NOT need this harness, for example.
