As you all saw in the video, bash can access your Win harddrives from the /mnt/c/... folder. What this means is, you can setup a C:\OpenFOAM folder under Win and this will be available in bash as /mnt/c/OpenFOAM. All files placed in this folder can be manipulated with Win and bash programs.

Thank you for many great tutorials, including this one! I struggled a bit getting Xming to work, but got it working by typing "export DISPLAY=localhost:0.0" in bash before running any Linux GUI.

I am having a problem using the alias, i am getting an error . To be precise ."Warning in
Cannot find 'Gcc63' compiler installation

Either install this compiler version, or use the system compiler by setting
WM_COMPILER_TYPE to 'system' in $WM_PROJECT_DIR/etc/bashrc."
I am not sure how to fix this, Thank you

Hey, thanks for the video. A small problem. It says 'No such file exists' when I write 'paraviewLinux' even though i saved it in my home and later extracted it. It also says 'error while loading shared library'. Thanks in advance!

Hello József,

Great video. I was wondering if gnuplot can be used to plot the residuals within Windows instead Linux. I tried to do that, and doesn't work with the command load "-".

Hi, I am trying to get the linux version of paraview to run and I keep getting a huge error that has the phrase "glibcxx_3.4.26 not found" I read a lot of things on forum about this, but still not sure what it means. One said to run conda install libgcc and when I run that I get the same exact error. I don't know much about the traceback system, but I'm assuming python error somewhere and saved that error. How can I clear this?

Is there a version of this for a server version of widows? To use it on a 4 x CPU workspation... And, have you tested if there is any slow down in computation performance when running OpenFoam through this? Thanks!

Hi Jozsef!!
I found this video of yours really informative.
However, there's a problem when i try to execute the command paraviewLinux & for my latest linux version of paraview. The error says no such file or directory even though i have saved and extracted the tar file correctly. I'd be really thankful if you can help me on this.

Hello Jozsef Nagy. If I install the Bash of Ubuntu on Windows 10, how long can I use it safely? Does it have the duration of use?

Sir, Thank you for videos. However I have encountered with a problem. I download the linux version of Paraview and extract it in home. Then when I run paraview & it says
The program 'paraview' is currently not installed. You can install it by typing:
sudo apt install paraview
Is there a step after extracting that I have missed?.I have installed Xming so I don't think there is a problem there.
Thank you for your help!!
