Zoom into NGC 602

Показать описание
This video takes the viewer to a satellite galaxy roughly 200,000 light-years from Earth, featuring the young star cluster NGC 602. This new Webb image includes data from Webb’s NIRCam (Near-InfraRed Camera) and MIRI (Mid-InfraRed Instrument).

The local environment of this cluster is a close analogue of what existed in the early Universe, with very low abundances of elements heavier than hydrogen and helium. The existence of dark clouds of dense dust and the fact that the cluster is rich in ionised gas also suggest the presence of ongoing star formation processes. This cluster provides a valuable opportunity to examine star formation scenarios under dramatically different conditions from those in the solar neighbourhood.

To travel 200, 000 Light Years in 90 seconds, all the while going BACK in time to who knows how many millenia ago. The sheer accomplishment of the technology behind this & other amazing astronomical advances is just astounding!! 🤔

I love that there's so much out there. If humanity persists for a billion years, we'll never explore everything. There will always be more.

To believe there's no civilization in these trillions of star systems is just outrageous and ridiculous.

As in childhood, when, lying on your back and peering into the abyss of starlight above you, you begin to feel like a speck of dust among this Great Universe, striving to pierce the unthinkable abyss of separating distance in order to understand and feel

THere's just under 200 distinct objects in the SMC that can be observed with an 18 inch telescope. You can do it in one night on the October long weekend if you start as soon as it gets dark.

We simply can’t imagine how big The Universe is.
We’ll get better telescopes in the future and see even more.

If this is real it's about the best set of images I ever seen. Can't believe it's not enhanced with super AI. If not, I stand corrected.

Everybody take a CLOSE Look at these images....🤔

If you noticed, that the star's have a "star-effect" of a "four-points" around each star. BUT, if you look at the end of the video, you Might noticed a "six-points" on those stars..That PROVES that the last series of images were from 'J-WeST', due to the hexagonal shape of Its mirrors!!!

Someone high up in astronomy said, their are more stars and planets in the universe than every grain of sand here on earth. It's just mind boggling.

I believe we are traveling through time and seeing it how it exists now. That is the true power of the telescope... Rather than sitting here and waiting for the light to reach us.. Beautiful pictures.... Thank you...
