She's Francesca? Wow! Great makeup that they did there. She's almost unrecognizable when she's not in character.

Francesca and Lara Doren looked like only proper elves on the show. everyone else looks like sad people with fake ears. Francesca was a pleasant surprise tho.

I think they plan to bring Scoia'tael into the following seasons, so this season was perfect in setting up their motivations and hatred towards humans.

The Elves part looked really great! I have rarely seen Elves like these portrayed in fantasy series. These Elves reminded me more of traditional magical Elven mages and I wish there would be more of them in the future!

The casting gets like 1 in 10 characters right but when they get it they they 100% nail it. Francesca is perfect.

Feels like lazy writing that the elves expected to pull out of their deal with Nilfgard without any drawbacks. They agreed to help fight the war in exchange for settling back into the city, and then just said “you know what, how about I don’t”. o.O

Talking to IGN, The Witcher showrunner and Executive Producer, Lauren Schmidt Hissrich, said of the seven season plan, “It would be a straight translation of the books… I think there's just so much material that I don't feel the need to start inventing my own to keep it going.”

So they decided to change the personality of the characters to the worse, removed some good scenes from the book, spoiled the Emhyr's capacity as a father of Ciri 5 season earlier than it should, made Vesemir a guy far from what is in the books, Eskel a drunken looser, Yennefer instead of a teacher and then a "mother" to Ciri, as a woman who would give anything to take back her magic back with teenage attitude, Triss the woman that instead of a big sister is something like an aunt, Kahir is faithful to Emhyr instead of a blackmailed follower that wants to see free his imprisoned dad etc. If you are not going to follow the books just make it clear from the beginning, dont make false statements in order to hype the fans. Follow the books or at least do it in a 50% ffs.

I'm so glad the elves had a bigger part this season. Compared to the one pathetic scene with Filavandrel, Francesca was fantastic.

Through the elves/Nilfgaard storyline, you even have me liking Fringilla and Cahir.

My only gripe is that many of the elves just don't remind me of elves. I've no better way to explain it other than that they look too "human". They just look like slightly strange humans.

I hope they don't stray far from the books like they did this season. So many character arcs messed up. The season was better previous one but changing the arcs is too much.

when sapkowski was writing about dwarves he meant norse mythology dwarf, not humans with dwarfism. And when norse and celts were talking about dwarves and elves they were thinking about demi-gods.I dont think that Vercingetorix praying to the tuatha de danaan like creatures, was imagining black or asian men with pointy ears like the show portrays.

The sad part is that there is no "bright elven future". Is practically impossible.
All the elven youth has disappeared. All died in the wars against humans.
And these elves of the series are really, really old, and are unable to have kids.
