People sleep on FFXIV because it's an MMORPG but the last expansion Shadow Bringers was some of the best storytelling ever done in a Final Fantasy game. I cannot wait for the stories conclusion in Endwalker and it could be crowned the best FF game ever.

The change in Star Wars the Old Republic seems greater than described. You could choose advanced specializations at level 10 in your own class. Soon you can choose and switch to playing as a different class with the story you want, rather than your combat class and story class having to be the same. You can be a bounty hunter that is dual wielding gunslinger or sniper. You can an imperial agent that uses powered armor. You can be a smuggler with a laser gatling gun. You can be a soldier who is a melee assassin with invisibility.
