Ontario Parks and the Global Institute of Forest Therapy and Nature Connection have teamed up to create the first self-guided forest therapy trail at MacGregor Point Provincial Park. The 'Tower Trail' (1km in distance) now features several forest therapy signs inviting people to deepen into forest therapy invitations. With QR Codes located on the first and last signs, participants are encouraged to get involved in a global research survey by answering before and after walk questions. Our hope is to have Canadian data to link health benefits with nature connection to encourage another use of trails, more self guided trails in parks, and expand green prescribing within our health care systems in Canada.
