I went to a PHP meeting didn’t know what it was. Your experience in that first meet up is almost identical. The whole time I knew it was more of a cult than opportunity. The scam was clear when I asked “what’s the best way to make money here?” And one of the higher ups told me “I would get as many people as I could back here to these meetings.”

I met a guy through my daughter's friend. Offered a partnership with me and felt dedicated to WFG, he hadn't written a policy in over a year and just felt he couldn't leave 🤷🏾‍♂️

my dad and brother dragged me at 19 to a couple of these things, the products are garbage, one was a phone plan and the other some acai chocolate bar. The lady my dad was dating was part of like 6 or 7 and she was hounding people hand over fist to buy the products and sign up and sell. You really have to sign up a lot of people to make any money, like thousands as 99% will give up almost immediately. Her house was full of the rubbish products she had to buy each month, I doubt she made any money and in the mean time you alienate all your friends and family as you time and energy get sucked away into a black hole. Evil "business"

I’ve had a girl and a guy walk up to me as I was going about my night on campus telling me that I’mma great communicator and that they really like me even tho they just met me. Little did I know they wanted me to come to their “office” to see “what the company does”. It was everything as you described from looking like a party with fun music and being introduced to people who are in the business then finally a presentation from someone talking about how you can make six figures to a million. At the end the two people who approached me on campus told me to fill out my personal information on the computer they had in another room. Suddenly I saw a button that said $199 and I was asked to pay the fee. In my head I was like “oh no I’m being scammed” then I told them I “need to use the restroom”. I finally ran to my car then drove off as I needed an escape 😂. So next time if someone reaches out to me about a business opportunity I would always be skeptical 😂

Clarity, Business experience, and "realistic expectations" are important in trying to "start a business !" Sadly, there are lots of "get rich quick" ideas that use "American Dream" BS and wild "rah rah" meetings to get HUNGRY, inexperienced "seekers of wealth !"

This is a great video Dom! I see how you integrated that thought process into the bashing of life insurance. I found some of your comments to be true with the MLM world. Network Marketing personally helped change my life for the better. Guess it all depends on the integrity of the company you get involved with.

Joined PHP when I was in college. I opened my big mouth to someone who was recruiting my friend because I wanted a part time job. I never worked in an office setting and didn’t realize how unprofessional it was run down an isle of people cheering over promotions. I joined and it slowly consumed me. They used every personal part of my life to draw me in and I even ended up in some disabled, inspirational think piece for a high up person that’s close to PBD. I cringe over it even though I was only there for about 8 months. The COVID lockdowns were my chance to escape and never look back. So glad I’m free from that cult.
