Proton Experimental eliminates most of the stutters entirely. Also, there's a way to frame lock the world tour mode at 30fps separately in the game's options.

Capcom has been doing great on their PC games and Linux support. I've been using Linux mint and haven't had an issue. Unlike some games that have denuvo drm support and have to wait 24 hours to test a different proton version because it locks you out of the game.

Absolutely insane handheld. Every time a new AAA game comes out I think welp it’s been a good run but there’s no way this will run well on Deck. The fact that I’m still being proven wrong halfway into 2023 is bonkers.

You should do more comparisons between the Steam Deck vs. ROG Ally. Controls and comfort are starting to matter to me most.

Was using my DualShock 4 to play Mario Kart: Double Dash!! on my Samsung smartphone last night and it made me realize controls has become top 3 in importance when buying a handheld. DS4 ran beautifully. I think I wasted $40 on SN30 Pro that looks like an SNES controller when the analog sticks started to peel off.

Sony made a high quality product with their PS4 controller. I've dropped it on tile floors at least half a dozen times and no damage whatsoever. Didn't charge it for 3.5 years and it still holds the same charge as when I got it 6 years ago similarly to my Vita bought only 6 days later.

I do wish DS4 was lighter, smaller, and had battery life as long as the DS3, but I can live with it. The rumble feels great. Much better than 8BitDo's. The d-pad for 2D fighters is still the best with that SNES controller. That cross d-pad that Nintendo patented.

Not that the Steam Deck or ROG Ally have a great enough d-pad for 2D fighters like what the SNES had. The d-pad on Vita 2K model is one of the better ones I've used on a handheld. I can pull off Sagat's tiger uppercut consistently which I couldn't do on the Switch Lite's crappy d-pad.

Companies these days are making controls worse. Like crappy analog sticks that give out. It's their way to get more of your money so you can keep buying more. It's become their light bulb. Nintendo with the tiny buttons on any Switch. I think controller comparisons should start to be more of a top 3 focus. Who wants a handheld if you can't control it correctly?

Between the Steam Deck vs. ROG Ally, it seems the Deck is more comfortable to hold. But that seems subjective as I've also heard from a few people that ROG Ally feels more comfortable. It's slightly less wider, much quieter, and doesn't run as hot.

I had a hard time with SF6 on my Steam Deck. I was able to play versus mode just fine but when it game to the world tour section it struggled a lot. Very laggy and most fights would struggle. Maybe I'll try again in the future after updates.

I just bought sf6 for my SD it without looking for reviews. That is how much I trust the Steam Deck.

Can you see what it’s like when you stream from a gaming pc to steam deck as well?

Fyi on the steam deck with windows 11 installed 0 stutters even at Lower fps. I have a mix of medium, standard, low and high settings and get around 4-45 fps and when i fight i have it set to 30fps bc even with 40 fps it's so slow and 30fps resolves that issue. But on the normal modes i can increase all the settings across the board if i want and still get 55-60fps but i keep the same settings so I don't have to keep changing them depending what mode. Overall super happy how it runs.

Happy that it runs great! Your colors look way over saturated though. xD

You have to remember that in the open world you also fight - so that at 30fps is not great. I doubt we will see this locked to 60fps considering it struggles on other platforms as well with dips. Best we can hope is stable 40fps.

Street Fighter 6 running flawlessly here on Arch Linux, as smooth as runs on Windoze.

Exactly what I wanted to see! Thank you. Can you make one resting on the Asus ROG Ally? :)

I run mine at 1080p, scaling at 3, blur/depth/occlusion/skin off, everything else Normal and it runs FLAWLESSLY. I use Proton GE 8.3 on mine, and btw the gane doesn’t support 800p.
