ABOUT THE SKATER: Alina ZAGITOVA, (Али́на Заги́товаbest) best known for being the 2nd youngest lady to ever win the ladies' single figure skating gold medal at the Winter Olympics at 15yo, is now a 17yo figure skater representing Russia. Her accomplishments include winning the 2018 Pyeongchang Winter Olympics ladies' single event, the Figure Skating World Championships in 2019, and being the youngest lady (and only one of two) to ever complete the "Career Super Grand Slam" or "Super Slam" in Ladies' Single Figure Skating, winning every major junior- and senior- level international competition throughout her career. She is currently taking a break from figure skating and the 2019-2020 season.

This video contributed to saving my life and soul, I’ve seen and experienced some of the most horrible things life has to offer or close to it in the last two years and would watch this video every night and burst into tears. It was one of the only things that made me feel and reminded me of what it’s like to really be alive while I felt dead inside. I finally escaped my abuse recently and have a new chance at life.
