Amiga 500 - 35th Annivesary movie - Trailer

Показать описание
Live on Kickstarter - from the makers of From Bedrooms to Billions.
A new documentary project that focuses on the A500 computer will not only include a great level of detail on the hardware and the engineers involved, but will also feature a great deal of info on the games and the developers, and we felt that this trailer would help get that across.
This year is the 35th Anniversary of the Commodore Amiga 500 (released in 1987) and we have decided to launch a new series of documentaries called The Gaming Chronicles where we can use our fairly large archive to focus on specific subjects from within gaming or hardware history and for the first episode we have decided to focus on the Amiga 500.
The A500 computer when released in 1987 went onto be the most successful of the Amiga line and played a significant role in the video games industry due to the number of fantastic games created either for it or because of it.
This project will focus on why the Amiga 1000 struggled and why the Amiga 500 with it's simpler manufacturing and cheaper retail price finally saw the Amiga name really catch fire and combined with a fantastic line-up of games and other software is still so loved today, some 35 years later!
This project will cover the hardware story of the Commodore Amiga 500 and the later Amiga's in the line including the CD32 as well as what actually happened to Commodore which eventually went under in 1994.
As well as the main Amiga 500 Documentary they are also making 6 featurettes that dive deeper into specific Amiga subjects such as games, music, graphics and the Demo Scene. In addition if you can't wait until Christmas for your slice of Amiga entertainment then you can also pledge to receive a monthly Backer Pack download of Amiga Game Making ofs to give you a monthly Amiga nostalgia fix!
There are some amazing perks which include having your face immortalised as a Cannon Fodder or Sensible World of Soccer character and the opportunity to talk to some of your Amiga heroes, artists, animators, musicians in some amazing online Q&A's and lots more!
