The promise of AI is sometimes lost in the media coverage about potential but largely speculative risks. This was such a a delightful interview about how the technology is starting have immensely positive impacts today, and how it will continue to assist with transformative discoveries tomorrow. Hannah's description of the once in a generation shifts that will soon cascade upon us across multiple domains made my skin tingle!

First of all, congratulations to Demis Hassabis on receiving the award.
While some have questioned Professor Hinton's award, there is no doubt about DeepMind's achievements.

I saw remarks from Google higher-ups that LLMs were bullshitting, with appropriate references to Harry Frankfurt's philosophical essay "On Bullshit, " long before I saw anyone use the term "hallucination." If "bullshit" offends you, then go with "confabulation" instead. It makes much better sense than "hallucination."
