Thanks for the video, Eli. It's beneficial to hear you simplify the steps and even address the fear that a lot of beginners (0-1 years of coding) experience... and still encourage us to persist!

A wealth of information given here. I also appreciate how you do not candy coat some of these topics the way other youtuber's like to do i.e. uplifting music playing in background while they tell you anyone can be a coder and get a big paycheck in 3 months. Every achievement in life requires some level of Grind.

Thanks for the video, really great advice. I stumbled on your channel when i came across your video about starting a tech career at an apple store and have been following you since. I left my job of 5 years as a police officer (incidentally im working at an apple store now), to pursue a career in tech which has been my aspiration for years. One of the things im doing now is always looking out for interesting open source projects that i can work on while learning python and at the same time re-connecting with old friends and acquaintances working in tech. My first coffee session i was so nervous, but it was such a enjoyable and informative session that i wished i had done this sooner. You’re spot on with this advice on going to meetups and one-to-one meetings; all the people ive met with so far in tech have been so forthcoming and friendly, doing these meetups and one-to-ones are a no brainer especially if you want to break into the tech field with little to no tech experience or formal education.

Been watching you for a decade. Easier to understand than lecture school. I'm a gamer so it's all for bragging rights among friends

I don't do or understand coding, and so most of these videos are Greek and Latin as far as I'm concerned
But, I am genuinely impressed how far Eli goes to educate and enlighten those who do understand coding and all, and help them build up their careers.
I genuinely think you're a terrific guy, Eli.

I want you to know how much I appreciate your content. I am suscribed to both this and the daily blob and I have learned so much from watching you. In general you talk about so many unique and specific topics (not this video but hey, gotta earn those views somehow) that I can’t find covered anywhere else! Thank you, Eli the Computer guy. Hope you have a fantastic day/night (can’t remember where you live nowadays)

EDIT: P.S. If your business is still running when I am not a broke college student (I think it will be), I will gladly spend some money on your site!

Hey Eli, could i suggest not using inscreen capture for the thumbnails?.
My personal experience is that it looks weird when viewing the playlist, and cant really focus on the titles.
Its just a little request for considiration, thank you.

Eli I'm 28 from chicago. I F"ed up when I was young. I got a drug dealing criminal record. Did 2 years in jail. I'm 28 now and that's not me anymore. Am I out of luck for the coding world?
