If you didn’t know they increase the throttle once they land so they can prevent falling in the water.

Not a touch and go its called a Bolter. which is when a pilot misses the arrester wires.

This was a perfect approach and a hook skip bolter. When the tailhook hits the deck it can bounce up and over the wire. That's what happens here and it happens all the time. Touch and gos are only when the hook is up and planned for in advance. V-2 Division arresting gear must do a mandatory quick visual inspection of the cross deck pendant after every hook skip to ensure the hook didn't cause wire damage.

I'm reading a book that starts with Pilots landing on these short-run ways.
So thank you I now have perspective on how absolutely bloody impossible this is. Thank God and bless the men, and women who do this job.
There's no words to describe how absolutely mind boggling my numbing lines I can't even wrap a pinky finger around how scary this must be.
For these Pilots every single time they land its survival.
My book states at the end of the day after all of his study of all these crashes and accidents and horrible fates of people that it's what's in your heart that keeps you alive.
Tell me that doesn't make you think.

The main part is they may not have enough fuel for a huge rotation. Because just before landing, the pilot expels excess fuel to reduce the weight.

This is called Touch and Go, and helpful in extreme scenarios.

FYI, Called a “bolter” when miss the arresting wires

Called a "touch and go". They practice it all the time in the event they miss the arresting wire. Carrier pilots get on the throttle every time they touch just in case they miss the 4 wires

FYI this is called a bolter touch and go. I play alot of plane sim games so i have over 500 carrier landing.

Called a "Bolter" not a failure. Normal ops

No he just missed the wires all together, a bolter. Hooks are hyraulically buffered

“You just did an incredibly brave thing. What you should have done was LAND YOUR PLANE! You don’t own that plane the tax payers do… I’d like to bust your butt, but I can’t. I got another problem, I gotta send somebody to Mirrimar.”

Patty Benjamin? 😂😂

Touch and go. Jets run full power when landing in case the miss the cables. They are practicing this.

Why you deploy arrestor hook if it’s just touch and go training. Seems like he just missed arresting cable

Is it true, that there is a 3 strikes and you're OUT rule or something similar?
