I love knitting mostly doing the cowichan knitted sweaters with sheep wool most of my life I want to switch back to color yarn again its the crochet that I'm just starting to learn right now I love doing this too my favorite wool is the mohair wool so I'm going buy more of this kind so mega soft

Wow it's so ambitious to do lace for your first project. I'm an intermediate knitter and I really hate charts bc they can be hard to follow. I would recommend checking the ravelry listing to see if they say it's a charted pattern. Patterns without charts tell you how to knit each row and you could print it out and highlight each row you do to keep track. Hope that helps! Good luck with your scarf.
