I can think of an interesting game mode relating to the ink mechanic.

Have you ever played that circus/fair game where you spray a watergun in a clown's mouth until a balloon on it inflates to the point of popping.

Well each team could have 4 clown/squid heads in their base that the opponents spray ink into until they explode covering the whole base in ink. A team wins when they pop all the enemies' clown/squid heads.

I can imagine a few possible gamemodes
Rush/Blitz - you cannot cover placed ink on the ground and respawns are quicker
Deathmach/Inkout - every team get's 10 lives, that's it
Inkwall/Wall inc. - only surfaces you cannot walk on count towards the score
Hide and Ink - one team starts with one player, each player he kills is added to his team, if the other team runs out of players before the time limit they loose
Inkwell/Flags - Multiple flags, you get points when the flag is covered in your paint
Cleanup - Reverse turf war, the more ink you collect the more points you get

This game was a great surprise and I already love it because you can really feel the vibe of: "fresh, unique and innovative" from it. This is exactly what the WiiU needed and it seems that there will be more new IPs coming from young minds, which is exciting as well.
I hope this game has a campaign mode with bosses (or anything that gives a plus to the gameplay), and a local multiplayer (co-op and 1-1 vs) to make the game feel complete. The online multiplayer is gonna be amazing.

Im really excited for this game and I hope they can add more team colors than the ones they have on the demon at E3. Blue Team looks awesome also in Splatoon :)

Splatoon is pretty cool, and i think tha it could be one of the most wanted Games 2015, cause many people love it yet. Good video and sorry for my bad english, im from germany ;-D
