Callistemon - Be creative with the Bottlebrush!

Buenas tardes, yo vivo en Chihuahua Mex y tengo 2 arboles, me los trajeron de Puebla Mex por que yo queria este arbol, me encanta da mucha flor tanto en verano como en invierno, no me dijeron que atraia avejas, hace 3 años los plantaron ya grandecitos y apenas este año trajo avejas.... Lo que no me gusto es que no tiene tronco grueso y aqui hace mucho aire y se doblan las ramas pero no se Yo queria que fuera de tronco grueso y es lo que no me ha gustado, pero es hermoso, segun se es originario de Estados de Queensland, Nueva Gales del Sur y Victoria en Australia, donde se encuentra en las sercanias quebradas rocosas y en los pantanos .
Yo no supe lo del tuvo de P V ce y no se lo pusieron del vivero donde lo compre y me lo trajeron desde Puebla Mex lo plantaron y fue un hoyo profundo.
Aqui tenemos temperaturas vajo 0 muy frio y tambien mucho calor y no les ha afectado, florecen mucho y estan muy bonitos.

I'm not sure if I left my Callistemon Bottle Brush outside too late, since it was in the 35-40^o range when I brought it inside.

The leaves are almost completely dried up but they are still attached and not totally crispy.
Will it recover?

I'm going to keep it until it looks totally dead, or if it doesn't start new growth in Spring I'll compost it.

Any suggestions?
