Bottle It (from 'Tanya')

'Bottle It' is a song from ‘Tanya: A New Musical’, which follows the story of Tanya, who desperately wants to fit in with the other stereotypically fake-tanned, glam Essex girls. Due to her job as a bottler in a tanning factory, she has permanently stained hands which makes her paleness even more obvious. When she has to deliver a message to her crush, Brad, she puts on a face mask to hide her paleness and he only sees her super fake-tanned hands, causing him fall head over heels in love with her. Returning back to work she finds a love letter from Brad stuffed in one of the tan bottles and becomes extremely excited, dreaming about a future life with Brad, but having to repeatedly tell herself to calm down and ‘bottle’ her feelings, eventually worrying about what will happen when Brad finds out about her true self.
