Really like the Tusk Recon Hybrid tires on my xr400 in the southern Oregon woods. Will have to give the Talon tires a try!

Thank you Chase. What size nitro Mousse matches up with these?

Did these as one of my first reviews for my new hobby channel! They're pretty amazing for western desert riding. Much prefer the Talons over the Recon for Southern Utah.

Just ordered a set. Racing the NEPG and SETRA Enduro Series, gonna give these puppies a go this weekend in SC, at the Little Brown Jug. I will try to report back. The terrain there seems to be more of a hard packed dark red clay type. So, curious to see.

Nice, this seems like the perfect midwest tire where we have faster double track sections followed by sloppy single track and enduro stuff.

I usually run a VE33s. Gonna try out a talon for this weekends sprint enduro then working the shotgun hard enduro see how it likes the PA rocks.

Super duper gummy, great for slickrock. Sidewalls still light compared to regular tires so they need to be at 8-10psi for rear or they feel like they're turning to moosh, at least with tubliss. Hooks up ok in grud, but I'd much rather have an m5b or something for that. Wears quickly, but you know that going in.

I've been running shinko 505 and 216 cheater fat tire, which I love. But the price has gone up on those considerably. How does the talons compare?

Chase I just bought a Kawasaki KLX 230 where are some good places to ride either at a track or trails in Utah County?

Hey man, so I do a lot of writing on the road and very hard packed trails in Texas and I was wondering what tire would be best for that because I got a Shinko 216 MX I've had it for about two months but only like five hours on it and it's already toast

Put the rear Talon on about 6 rides / 12 hours ago. This tire is awesome, tons of grip like my VE33s but much better price. The knobs are all still intact with normal wear for a gummy. Going to try the front fatty next. Does anyone know how the width is compared to the Goldentyre fatty? (I know on paper they're the same but in real life tire widths vary between companies.)

Are these tires going to lose knobs like other name brand gummy tires? I hope not because I've seen those other name brand tires die within 3 rides.

What are the specs? OD, actual width, & knob height?

Shit, I bought a pair of Recon and now regret it. Probably won’t even mount them. I thought they had stout sidewalls.

How does the Talon front compare to the Recon front? I'm hoping this tire is closer to a MX216 fat cheater front.
