I don't think the dead pixel is Anya or Jimmy, because then what does that make the other pixels. I believe the dead pixel represent the assault and the entire screen represents Jimmy. So everytime Anya sees Jimmy all she sees is a rapist. On the other hand Curly who hasn't seen the "dead pixel" yet still has the "illusion" that Jimmy is still a good person.

Actually really good game! First time I watched someone fully play through it and actually process it. This is how walking simulators should be, never bored because the story is so interesting, doesn't over stay its welcome and overall just a really good story.

For context it is implied that Jim is an exconvict and Curly gave Jim a chance at a job. Possibly knowing Jim for years before Jail and thought Jim had redeemed himself after working with him for years. Then one day randomly Jim relapses and SA's Anya for some reason.

The canon then goes from there.


At the end when Jim talks to Pollie he calls you old man because Jim sees Anya and his kid as a Horse.

Apparently the horse is near the dorms and Jim would have had to pass the Horse to get to Anya's room. The horse speaking to Jim as he passed it. Jim thus mentally links pleasure and Anya with the horse.

To make it worse at the end when Jim walks through the hallway with Employee cards covered all over you can notice the fact that Anya's card is always covered by a different employee card. Considering that this is in Jim's head you can figure out that Jim doesn't really care about Anya *OR* wants to block out what happened. It shows how little he thought about his victim.

I like how the cartoon about a "Profitable Business" lists a bunch of stuff that Pony Express doesn't have. There's no "Steady Employment", if they use medicine it gets deducted from their payment, obviously no vacation days since there's nowhere to go not to mention they only get 5 hour of sleep and Anya literally said she had no Savings Account.

When curly says he couldnt see the dead pixel and says he sees the bigger picture, its like how he ignores anyas needs and doesnt stop jimmy because he looks at the "bigger picture".

1:01:56 you can sort of sympathise w curly on this one.. tho it doesn't justify anything he did (or in this case, didn't do). It's heartbreaking that he nearly got what he wanted, all for it to be stripped away from him so quickly bc he ignored the dead pixel, that 0.1% ("kills 99.9%!") in favour of the bigger picture.

Screw Jimmy tho, he doesnt deserve any sympathy

With the story and Charlie's commentary I was in this weird limbo between wanting to cry and laugh for a whole 2 hours

Curly is a guy who wants to be a good guy but has unfortunately let himself develop a huge blind spot for Jimmy, to disastrous results.

So he's a bad guy but not in such a despicable way as Jimmy, but in the end it can be just as damaging

This might be the quickest I've seen someone notice that not only did Jimmy assault Anya but ALSO Curly 100% knew it was happening. I definitely felt sympathy for him my first playthrough but tbh the crash might've not even happened if he took any measures to prevent what was happening to her. Whole reason Jimmy crashes the ship is cause he knows he's gonna be sent to jail or at the VERYY least become a father with no job or opportunities
