I used to have one back in 1965. It's a Tube Type mic and it's very acoustic tube will pick up all kinds of audio in the house but the kool think is that key is just a Cherry Microswitch, that when you keyed it, would cause a loud, beautiful, PING on the air even more recognizable than the Browning "Squalling" radios... I used this on my Dad's Johnson Messenger II, and a Hallicrafters Six Channel CB! I used to have it until I moved out to Phoenix and lost it in the move. It had a 12AU7 tube and it was so sensitive my dad would be in the kitchen and I was in the bedroom keying the radio and he would talk to his buddys while he was cooking and I was the T/R Relay controller LOL. Loved it. OH and it was only for TUBE RADIOS at the time with a high impedance input.

Not much to find out its a Tube Amplified desk mic I have one. Plug it in to a wall outlet turn it on look underneath to make sure the 6AU6 Tube is glowing & it should work. They sound great when adjusted right. These mics are collectors items.

Those were manufactured at a residence on the north side of Knoxville. The person who invented it worked at Oak Ridge National Laboratories. His handle on CB radio was Slide Rule. When I was in HS in the late 60s, a friend of mine bought one and had Slide Rule wire it for his Johnson white face radio. the original were $29.95, they went up to $32.95.
