It’s really so obvious when you stop to consider George’s explanation. But I don’t ever remember seeing it that way when I first saw the movie. I was focused on Luke, as I’m sure many people were. But Luke was indeed the catalyst. And this makes me see the story in a whole new light.

Everyone knows this but won’t admit it revenge of the Sith Vader suit is so perfect and so clean they even fixed the mask shell because the originals mask was not symmetrical

This is my issue with bringing Palpatine back from the dead, it negates Anakin’s sacrifice in a way. Yes, he saved his son, and yes he was redeemed back to the light, but his sacrifice to kill Palpatine is essentially for nothing now.

It was cool to see Palpatine again in Episode 9, but it was also hard to understand with the explanation we got and also disappointing because of how it affects Anakin’s character arch.

I've always believed Anakin was the chosen one bc he brought balance to the force not just once, but twice. It irks me when people say Luke is the chosen one (like obi wan when he's speaking to maul on tatooine)

I disagree with the last thing, stop worshipping Anakin, Luke was the protagonist for the entire original trilogy, it's about him becoming a Jedi.Its about him.Luke in ROTJ is still the protagonist no matter how the Emperor is killed.

I’m sorry but Anakin/Vader being the chosen is stupid. Vader killing Sidious to save his son is more interesting then he killed Sidious to fulfill the prophecy.

I can buy Luke being the chosen but do we really a need a chosen one.

Making the character the chosen one is just a cheap way of making a character cool.

I’m sorry but George Lucas is not the be all end all when it comes to Star Wars.

George Lucas only wrote and directed ANH. ANH he wasn’t surrounded by Yes Men.

TESB was directed by Irvin Kirshner and written by Lawrence Kasdan.

ROTJ was directed by Richard Marquand and written by Lawrence Kasdan. Stephen Spielberg was director at one point but had to drop out due to scheduling difficulties at the last minute.

Also most the EU books were not written by George Lucas.

Also without Ralph McQuarrie Star Wars would never have been made.

So yeah I don’t always take Lucas’s word for everything because of this.

Even though the Sequel Trilogy imo is worse I’m still not a fan of the Prequel Trilogy.

The Prequel Trilogy didn’t work because he was surrounded by Yes Men.
