At the beginning of your season in weekly strategy go to players health in there it should be set to full pads and starters I always change it on week 12 to half pads and backups that stopped my starters from being subbed out for the game and when I get to the playoffs I set it back to full pads and starters they should be fully rested by then

Imo using formation subs/package subs is the best way to properly rotate players without using the auto sub feature.

I just got the game. I'm in free play and my QB gets taken out constantly in the FIRST QUARTER. And for the rest of the game my star players get taken out and can't come back in. The game is completely unplayable.

You should make realistic rating rosters. I think madden ratings hold the game back most o line men are shit compared to the d line its a lot of weird position ratings in my opinion. if not do you know anybody who makes rosters based on pff grades or something close
