Yup, this is the best way. I have a 3 year old lemon tree that I used this exact method for. Patience is key! It will pay off.

For all of the people saying it will take too long for fruit...start now. For nearly a decade I have been saying I want to plant an avocado tree, but always saying that it wasnt worth it for how long theyd take to grow. Well had I started it, or any of the other fruits i wanted to in the last decade, I'd be satisfied and eatint the fruits. I wont wait another day, or year, or decade to plant my trees. Ive been starting them all, and in a decade my children will be eating them with me, God willing.
Thanks for the informational video 💜

So, my wife had bought me a lime tree, and I pruned it a bit last autumn and just stuck some of the small cuttings into some soil I had in little pots. Thinking they may not root but figured why not. I work 3 months at a time, and wouldn't you know it, all of them rooted! 1 didn't make it but it was in a really small starter pot.

Lemon seeds from lemons 🍋 grow beautifully, however, it will take five to ten years to produce fruit.

Master gardener here. Dont waste your time growing fruit from seeds. You will not get the same fruit as the one you took the seed from. Tasty fruit tree stock are grafted onto hardier fruit stock roots for various reasons. You might wait years for fruit only to be disappointed. Call your local extension office for advice.

Then wait for 9 years to harvest lime.

No! No! No! seed will grow, But the fruit the tree will give you will not be the same. It will be a hybrid of the fruit you ate. Don't waste years to find this out!
