The quality has dropped massively. I get that they are trying to keep up with current fashion trends but I do wish that they would make a really over the top Christmas themed doll with the velvet and fluffy white sleeves etc. Like the old school holiday Barbie's. The quality isn't far off what you would see with the playline dolls.

Back in the 90s the holiday barbies were such better quality. I have collected the holiday barbies and recently started doing it again after my daughter was born and it’s crazy to see even the boxes are cheaper then before. Back in the 90s the boxes were sturdy etc

I went to the grocery store and saw the 2021 holiday barbie. I immediately thought it would be a great Christmas gift for my sister in law because she used to collect holiday barbies up until 2008. I grabbed it from the shelf and examined it for a good 5 mins. The 2021 doll does not compare to the early 2000s holiday barbies. The sliver top on the 2021 doll through me off because it looks cheap. I remember my sister in law's early 2000s holiday dolls had extravagant, BEAUTIFUL, and very holiday like dresses to but not the 2021.

2020 and 2021 are hideous! Everything about them is cheap. They are a play line doll in a cheap dress. The boxes have no creativity at all. Who puts a plastic belt on a holiday doll? I only bought the 2020 one cause I got her dirt cheap off eBay. I’ll pass on 2021. I’m almost scared to see what 2022 is gonna look like. I’m surprised they still make them to be honest.

Articulation would make these dolls much better, as it would MOST barbies these days. Im not a fan of the very cheap looking clothes either. I've been a Barbie collector for many years, but these days I mostly spend my money on Rainbow High and Lol OMG dolls. Their clothing details are awsome, and great articulation too!

Better spend money for a better quality doll like the german Gotz dolls who are mostly articulated or other guality dolls.

I have only two holiday barbie that are 2015 and 2020. I ve Just bought 2020 today as l was enchanted by her bright golden dress. It has plausable price iň turkey it is over 200 turkish liras here equaling to 17 dollars. I dont agree with you about the clashing price and quality.

I was gifted the first two Holiday Barbies when I was a kid. My mother bought them for me and they were kept in the box. I eventually sold them years later, and hadn't purchased any others accept for the 2010 doll and last years doll on clearance. The 2010 doll is nice I think, but last years was pretty cheap looking.
