Hindustan Zinc and Vedanta is giving dividend to help its parent company. Parent company holds share in Hindustan Zinc and Vedanta, so when they declare dividend, it reaches the parent company. Because in companies there are many restrictions on transfer of funds so they can't directly give funds to their parent company

By demerging its doing good thing, different minerals have different demands and by doing so stakeholders will have freedom to choose whichever business they want to invest in. I'll stay invested. Stock prices may go up and down. But in the long term this company will provide excellent value.

Explaination : when a campsny pays dividend in regular intervals of quarterly or monthly, it makes a good image in front of loan lenders as company seems to be financially strengthy and promising to its shareholder.
This game of trust works to recieve more loans further.

They are trying to increase the ownership so they bought share from market by taking loan... And to pay back the loan they are paying the dividend to them self as 70 % shares are held by owners.

I have watched your details video on this topic. I have a question.
Why are they not giving inter group loan?
Say Company A have loan of 18000 cr.
And Company B (subsidiary of A, A holds 60% of B) have cash of 30000 cr.
Now, if company B declair a dividend of 30000 cr. then B has to pay 12000 cr. to outsiders and remaining 18000 cr. will go to A. Why they simply don't give an inter group loan of 18000 cr. to A? Then in only 18000 cr. from B will fix the problem of A.

Vedanta group itself is stuck in huge debts and Indian banks should try to recover their loan amounts to avoid situations of absconding billionaires like Vijay Mallya, Nirav Modi and so on !
Seems even Indian govt has turned blind eye on these corporates who have borrowed billions of INR from Indian banking industry which is Indian commons money in actual !!!
