Wow, was that fun. I loved all the techniques. Especially had fun with the splashes, loved the effect of scraping off the color and adding some color to the masked areas. It all made for a wonderful look. Also found moving the white circles of color from the background very effective. Thanks for this very cool painting lesson.

I immediately loved this painting....it looks, strikingly, like one of my granddaughters, as if she had posed for it, right in the middle of her splash. I've got to do this one for her. She'll love it, too. I see I'm in good company with a few senior citizens nearby....I guess you CAN teach an old dog new tricks.

Welcome back from Portugal. One of these days, I will book into one of your trips! This tutorial reminds me of an old art lesson at school and we had to paint a rainy day and I chose to paint a girl splashing in a puddle. I needed this tutorial way back then ;) Ah, memories.
