It Happened! Elon Musk Just LEAKED 3 All New Models for ONLY 2025! You NEVER Heard Before. The buzz from Tesla's "We, Robot" event still lingers, and the world is hungry for more—especially the elusive "something more" that Elon Musk hinted at just before the event.
Investors and analysts are eagerly awaiting what could be the biggest game-changer in EV history: the Tesla Model 2. Millions dream of owning this affordable electric car, and Musk recently confirmed it’s set to debut at the end of 2024, with production kicking off in 2025.
But where exactly is the Model 2 right now? Is it really as close to reality as Musk claims? Let’s dive into the truth behind this hype in today’s episode of Tesla Car World!

It Happened! Elon Musk Just LEAKED 3 All New Models for ONLY 2025! You NEVER Heard Before. How affordable is the Tesla Model 2 going to be?
Supply chain insiders are buzzing, Tesla’s upcoming affordable EV is expected to retail for around $21,800. That’s a number you don’t hear often when it comes to electric vehicles, especially with the Tesla badge on it. But how’s that even possible? Well, Tesla’s aiming to cut production costs in half compared to the Model 3, which currently costs about $33,600 to make. That means the target production cost for this new, smaller EV—likely to be called the Model 2, would land around $16,800.
Tesla isn’t just cutting costs for the fun of it. They’ve got their eyes set on maintaining profitability, which, let’s be real, they’re pretty good at. Even if they keep the price of this new model low, they’re planning to slap on a 30% margin on top of the $16,800 cost. So, if the car ends up selling for around $22,000, that’s a solid deal for consumers and a tidy profit for Tesla. And let’s not forget about economies of scale—once they’re cranking out millions of these things, those margins could get even juicier.
Now, here’s where things get really interesting: Tesla’s been rumored to be moving production of the Model 2’s LFP batteries to the U.S. Not only would that bring jobs back home, but it could also make the company eligible for some sweet federal subsidies. So, what does that mean for Tesla? More money in the bank, plain and simple. Even on a low-cost vehicle like the Model 2, Tesla could be looking at a cool $10,000 profit per car—multiply that by millions, and you’ve got yourself a serious cash cow.

It Happened! Elon Musk Just LEAKED 3 All New Models for ONLY 2025! You NEVER Heard Before. Of course, there’s a bit of a time crunch. The federal EV tax credit, which could help push sales even further, is set to expire in 2032. So, Tesla needs to get the Model 2 out the door by late 2024, which is the current estimate. That gives them a nice head start before competitors like the VW ID.2 hit the scene in 2025.
If everything goes according to plan, Tesla could be dominating the affordable EV market, racking up profits, and outpacing the competition by the time other carmakers even get their engines running. And with a starting price of $21,800, it might just change your garage too!
How do Tesla roll out the Model 2?
Back in April, during an earnings call, Elon Musk made it clear that Tesla’s future roadmap was not slowing down—it was speeding up. He even hinted at “more affordable models” hitting the market by late 2024 or early 2025. And now, Tesla’s pulling back the curtain a bit more. Last week, they confirmed they’ve got three new vehicles in development: the much-hyped driverless Cybercab robot taxi which had its big debut on October 10, the long-awaited Roadster supercar announced way back in 2017, and the still-unnamed low-cost EV that’s being primed for launch.

I wonder how much of it (the near 50% price reduction) comes from replacing part of the factory flow with robotics. If you could what stories how this is improving the HI and making the job better, albeit less human, but better somehow? Would love to see an episode on this topic of Ai vs Hi.
