I love this scene! My favorite actually, the dragon fly it is beautiful but I think it was a good idea to trim it.

The previous scene preceding this one had a exterior shot of the vast forest with a forward pan camera movement, and the very next scene should basically continue that forward motion towards the next focal point. The focus on the dragonfly in between those two scenes breaks that smooth flow towards the next action set piece. Editing is seriously as creative a job as directing the film! 🙂🙏

I think they removed the dragon fly because it reveals that this is an upside down reflection view before the camera zooms to NTR and by doing so it can ruin the excitement of revealing that it is upended view through rotating camera.

Rather than the dragon fly they should've put Makki in that scene.
It'd be a good reference from Rajamauli's previous film.

That was a good decision to not to include the dragonfly sequence.
That would have given a less impact to the whole scene. I felt the scene so light after seeing the deleted sequence as if they going to tell something like romance or fantasy than an adventurous action.

Wow, that's a tough call. The slight difference in quality of the dragonfly and it's reflection is not noticeable and it might have even enhanced the effect of the transition but it comes at perhaps the cost of losing focus on the character - which I guess is more important than an illusion. Makes sense. Good stuff!

That creature is good, but it completely occupies the screen. It got full attention instead of hero.

It could be better if it flies on down/top side without much attention to it.
