SOCAP23 - Building an Entrepreneur-Centric Impact Ecosystem

We recognize that various players in the impact ecosystem — accelerators, investors, corporates, higher education, and others — strive to support impact entrepreneurs according to their own unique strategies. However, these collective efforts can sometimes be mystifying and even counterproductive for the entrepreneurs they aim to help. What would a more entrepreneur-centric approach actually look like? How might we work together to evolve an ecosystem that offers a seamless continuum of technical support, networks, and capital to accompany entrepreneurs throughout their journeys? A truly collaborative effort must overcome the capital mismatch between supply and demand, ensure diversity and inclusion in the supported enterprises, prioritize impact measurement and management, and bridge partnerships with corporations and universities.

In this interactive workshop, social impact pioneers will facilitate an in-depth conversation about what works and what doesn't when it comes to centering impact entrepreneurs. How can we connect the dots between the various players in the impact ecosystem and move away from strengthening silos?
