I like how Link's bird become a giant bird and is used as a loft wing decades later in Skyward sword. Timeline wise, This bird could be descended from loftwings, as LOZ takes place many centuries (and even millennia) after SS

After watching your presentation of the OG Metroid manga, I was a little bit more gripped with this one. This did a really great job.

I was obsessed with Zelda 1 when I was a kid. Had I seen this video then, I would've been enthralled

Amazing video, i wasnt aware of this particular manga, and i've seen a few based on Zelda 1. I had goosebumps the entire video lol.
I was one of those who played the masterpiece back when it was released, no sequels, no internet, just the amazing map that came with the game and the hint booklet. I played that game like a madman, putting bombs in every square, burning every tree, searching my brother's english dictionary to translate whatever dialogue appeared on screen...this game is engraved on my brain like fire.
It was the game that changed me as a person and made whoever i am today, more than 30 years later.

3:39 Link using a slingshot in this manga predates Ocarina of Time.

This was incredible! I would love to see a Zelda 1 hack (or a Zelda Classic game) made with this storyline.

Firstly it is interesting to think that Nintendo may have borrowed some ideas from it moving forward.

1. Link with a Slingshot, wouldn't happen until Ocarina of Time.
2. Mention of the Triforce as a balancing mechanism. Greatly expanded upon in A Link Between Worlds
3. Gods of Hyrule, in early games people thought it was "Christian". This sort of implies that they always intended Gods.
4. The stone that Link is given by Impa is akin to the Pirate's Charm in Wind Waker. It even looks similar-ish.

There may be some other things that Nintendo would eventually use, but for a "non-canon" first entry into the series, that was fantastic.

I absolutely enjoyed this video. I love how calmly you narrated the entire manga and because of that, I was immersed to the story. Amazing!

Great work! There still appears to be no fan translation of this comic, so this is a very useful video!

Fantastic video mate. It's so interesting to see how the early comics inform the rest of the series. Your quality and quantity of content is amazing. One of my favorite channels for sure

Oh wow, just wow! This was incredible! I feel a little cheated by the montage though, but only because I wanted this to keep going!!

Shame they dart through the story how Link acquires the majority of the triforce pieces. Otherwise, this is still a pretty neat reinterpretation of the original game. The fact I wanted to see more here shows they succeeded in grabbing my attention in the ways they otherwise wanted.

This story is surprisingly good! I can't believe this hasn't gotten a whole lot more exposure over the years!
