Introduction to Volcanoes

This HD dramatic video choreographed to powerful music introduces the viewer/student to Volcanoes. It is designed as a motivational "trailer" to be shown in classrooms by Earth Science and Physical Science teachers in middle school, high school and college as a visual Introduction to the power and wonder of Earth's volcanic nature.

When I was teaching middle school Earth science, I used this video to kick off the unit on volcanoes. I had a huge screen and a terrific sound system (I purchased with my own dollars). I turned the lights off, turned the volume up, and pressed play. I wish you could have seen my student's faces at 2:06! Their mouths popped open and their eyes got wide as saucers. I just used this to introduce volcanoes in my kindergarten K3 class in Hong Kong. It's English, not science, but I knew they would love it and I'm working to combine the two subjects i.e. teaching English through science.
