Nice review. You gotta reference the model to make it useful tho. Thank you for the video

We've had ours now for three years, bought it with the matching dryer. No issues at all. I use Affresh once a month and it never smells. I don't need bells and whistles just clean clothes.

No appliance will last 30 years in today's world

Great review! I'm glad you clarified that it's actually the 4.2 cu. ft. size. Now that I know it handles a king comforter, I'm going with this exact model. Thanks so much.

I just bought this yesterday. My 2yr old, yes, 2yr old whirlpool died and needed to be replaced. It was on sale for a good price. Seems like a nice washer. It will be here in a week and a half. I like the auto sensing. Saves water.

MVWB835DW1 - We’ve had our Brazos XL for just over four years. We’ve been moderately
happy, a few hiccups here and there. Last month (four years and four
months) my wife mentioned the spin cycle is “very loud”, sounds like an
airplane is taking off. The gear case/transmission bearings are going
out. So, I’m going to replace the assembly this weekend. A $250 repair
for me, about $500 for a repairman. If you research this topic, you will
discover the life span of the gear case/transmission bearings are
between three and five years. We hope you have better luck.

I'm about to purchase one. My basic whirlpool washer I've had since I was single, 20 years ago, finally said 'retired'.

Would like to see what Maytag considers as "enough" water for washing. Most efficiency washers don't use nearly enough water. Also was hoping to see what kind of agitator was inside.

The agitator in there is actually not a literal agitator it doesn't push the clothes down, by that I mean the top cork screw part turns the same way as the bottom scrubbing part which means when it's washing it will push the clothes down but then push them back up, so some of the clothes up top will never reach the scrubber at the bottom and the clothes at the bottom due to that fake agitator there won't really be rollover, they will constantly get beaten by the scrubber making them wear out faster! Not good, and machines these days are not built like the old ones there are some plastic components in there, so it lasting 30 years is literally impossible for today's machines. Also that maytag is not 5.2 cubic feet, it's actually 4.2 cubic. So if any of you think that your clothes are getting clean in this washer especially if it's king size comforter, think again and watch a few full cycle videos on this machine so you will know what's happening under that lid and trust me, you won't like it, and I wouldn't be surprised if you were disappointed.

If I may ask, what dryer do you have? And do you like your dryer? I’m in the market for a washer and dryer and overwhelmed by all the options out there

I bought this washer 2 weeks ago... does yours do this annoying pause and go sound as well? And like a tick sound? Maybe I'm not using it right 🤔.

It would be nice if you identify the model number.

Unfortunately it’s still a HE washer and has poor wash performance. That’s a wash plate with just a tiny clothes mother stuck onto it, it’s really not an agitator Whirlpool tried to trick consumers into thinking it’s performing like the old ones, and they couldn’t be farther than that. I recommend when that goes, if it hasn’t already, to buy a used classic set. Nothing too old if you don’t want that, they still made classic Whirlpool direct drives up until 2011 and they were very nice looking modern machines. Just a tip if you ever look for something else someday and want quick, dependable results with absolutely no electronic shit at all!

Trying to do laundry again. Bought it brand new $800 not even a month. Absolutely a piece of garbage. Can’t even explain how disgusted I am with the retailer. All sales final I’m told. Well they would have to be when you pull a con like this. Thank you to The Brick Windsor Ontario Canada.

My new washer won't drain all the water out, it sits under basket and 3.5 cubic way too small on mine. Trying to return.

Last week my Whirlpool washer was no longer was worth repairing but I’m not upset because it was twenty three years old. Now it has needed repairs which I always did it myself. But from what I reading while researching for another machine I am finding out so far that speed queen may not be a bad machine but cost as a beater used car .

Nice video but I've watched 11 of these videos trying to figure out what Power wash does? 😫

Never buy Samsung/LG front loaders unless you like buying a new one in 5 years! The crap metals used for the Spider Arm will start to break apart after the first wash! I am a victim and will be buying a top loader!
