If the Roman empire saw what we define as 'sports' they would laugh at us and ask where the real sport is: the colosseum full of slaves being killed by lions etc. This can be seen reflected in the older generations in regards to Professional gaming. Change happens, humans just have to adapt to the change as they always have.

I'm a gamer and I facepalm at the "E-*sports*" name, I know it's technically correct, but I think "competitive gaming" would have prevented a lot of arguments.

It's like the "football vs. football" thing: why would americans call a sport "football" and spark an argument, especially when it was clearly based on rugby?
