Gene Adams actually sings better than ever at the moment. The Jon Schaffer Purgatory EP that Jon and Gene did last year is the best I have ever heard Gene Adams sound. I am one of the few that actually likes his singing on the debut album. In my opinion his singing fits perfectly with the songs on the album.

"Winter Nights" was recorded during early sessions for Night of the Stormrider while Gene Adam was still on vocals, but this was the track which prompted Schaffer to ask Adam to get singing lessons, as it was felt he could not handle the high notes. Therefore, the song was not used on the album due to its acrimonious history, though it would have fit in with the storyline of the album. "

I couldn't agree more. Listen to Barlow, Ripper and Block. Gene wasn't a singer.

@mkadragtonslayer Actually he can sing, He just chooses not to. Just listen too Written On the Walls and Unearthed's song Fire in the Sky.

he tries to compensate lack of singing knowledge with his screams and shit. I am sorry, but the band needed to go the distance and if Gene was there, IE wouldn't be here as we know it.
