The very definition of a master musician. Paul Simon, superb writer, singer, performer. I am a better human being for having heard his performances over the last 60+ years. Thank you, sir. I wish you long life to help us all survive the difficulties we face. A well chosen serenade for Steven and his beloved Evie on his 60th birthday. :)

One man, one guitar, one voice. Paul Simon has such a strong presence all by himself on that stage. Wow.

While he can't play as cleanly as he once did, nor does he sound like he did decades ago, this was the best performance of this song that I've ever seen. Brilliant guitar arrangement, touching vocal. He didn't just perform that song, he embodied it. I was profoundly moved.

Paul Simon doesn’t just sing a song you all know, he reinvents it.

No autotune, no over the top choreography, just a man, a mic, and his squeaky guitar. Amazing.

That's how you tell a story people. Just a voice, a guitar, and no distractions. Not even a drum, so the tempo can flow and progress as Paul feels it., creating his own drama as the audience is rapt in attention.. His age and wisdom all on display in its fantastic glory.

Nearly fifty years on, and he can still bring something fresh and new to the tune. 👏👏👏

I LOVE how he recognizes that his voice isn’t the same as when he was young, doesn’t try to recreate that young cover, but uses it to introduce even more soul. It reminds me of Johnny Cash’s later work, some of which is heavily used in tv and movie scenes to emphasize the heavy. I hope we continue to hear this Paul Simon version.

This was so special, remembering the story Stephen shared about hearing this with his mother in the car when he was ~10 years old ❤️ Happiest birthday Stephen Colbert!!

MANY years ago I was 14 year old runaway that snuck into a concert of Simon and Garfunkel in Eugene Oregon. Loved them then. Still loving him now Thank You for all of the great music🙏🏻🙏🏿🙏🙏🏽❤️

One of his most soulful songs performed with wisdom, confidence and maturity. He’s my father’s age and I am 63. I got emotional watching this.

Paul Simon is brave to come out and sing with just an acoustic guitar. So authentic after all the glitz and voice falsifying machinations that musicians surround themselves with now. Thank you!

What an absolute treat! The line that says "a bad day's when l lie in bed and think of things that might have been..." has always seemed such a perfect description of what it can be like if you suffer from depression. THANK YOU! ❤
