Stella (Elisse Joson) is the spoiled daughter of Lorna (Janice de Belen), a hardworking pearl merchant and music club owner. Jason (Joao Constancia), on the other hand, is an aspiring singer who failed to gain Stella’s love. Five years later, Stella encounters Jason again at her mother’s club, where he now regularly performs with Darker than Black, a famous boyband. Instead of warmly welcoming them, Stella disses Jason and his bandmates, prompting them to leave Lorna’s bar. Lorna gets disappointed by her daughter’s behavior and admonishes her to convince the band to go back to the club. As she gives vent to her anger and frustration, Stella inadvertently earns the ire of Merlina (Ria Atayde), a mermaid who is disguising as a human.
