How to Remove Center Console Explorer w/details

This simple video shows with details how to remove the Center Console on your Fifth Generation ( 2011, 2012, 2013 etc... ) Ford Explorer.

This is made to help you access the cup holders, terrain control switch, center compartment (glove) box.

Other videos show a lot of things to be removed, but I've discovered an easy way. I also give you detail information on what exactly you are taking apart so you know which way to pull.

SOOOO much better than another video. The other video explains you have to remove the shifter from the "Handle". No idea that the whoel shifter surround came out as one piece.

Awesome video!!! We had a microusb cable that somehow got stuck through the hinge groove in the frontmost compartment and try as we might, it would not come back out. With this video, and 20 minutes later, wire removed. Only issue we had was the boot clips....every time we got two undone and moved to another, the previous would snap back in...eventually we won. 2016 Ford Explorer Limited here and the video worked like a charm. Oh, chock the wheels. I thought my driveway was level but my truck rolled 5 feet backwards without me realizing it...oops.
