Changing rules/policy's so there are less punishments handed out is a big NO. We don't want the police department to go back to the it was before the DOJ stepped in there was a huge reason the DOJ had to step in.

Why did they just raise money for those 19 years and older? They should have a tier system raise like an extra 500 for those with 10 years and 1000 for 15 years. It not as convincing an argument to only give a boost after 19 years because it might only keep them a few extra years before retiring. The job is not easy and should be compensated better. I think it was a great idea for them to have them send other resources than a police officer to non-emergent calls so it frees up more police officers. Also you guys need to reqruit at more events and expand the class size. I appreciate the honesty of chief medina saying getting to 1200 will be hard, but we shouldn't abandon this goal as we need officers desperately. Police need to be seconds to minutes away for emergencies, not hours
