You are now aware that the brony phenomenon began more than a decade ago. Bae legit probably didn't know about it growing up.

Funfact about this: Kobo is a Pegasister hence why she loves horses IRL and her dream is actually to own a Pony!

I can just imagine Bae connecting the dots in the origins of the jar to the bronies off-stream, lol.

Kinda funny how it took us this long to loop back to the origins of the jar joke within Hololive

Ahh the duality of the warden of chaos. She’s somehow one of the most innocent and calmest of the group, yet plays a game filled with male genitalia.

Bae is one step closer to understanding the Chum Jar joke

fans are neat people, but fandom is forever cursed
i feel like we can all speak from experience at this point

Every week Bae finds a new way to make me think she's actually 14. Meanwhile, the first thing Gurandma did with her Nendoroid was put it in a jar. Such a diverse crew, these girls.

I like how Bae's voice just gets deeper and deeper the more they talk about the topic lol

"The fandom is quite cursed."
Well, Fauna's not wrong there.

Man, it's always wild then the topic of MLP comes up on a hololive stream. I was in that fandom for close to a decade but completely left it behind around the time that vtubers as a whole became popular. I can definitely say that my time in the MLP fandom was a...unique experience. Not all bad or all good, but one that was certainly memorable.

As a former Brony - at least in my experience: what made MLP:FIM was a mixture of a nice written and animated kid show (Lauren Faust art style reminiscent of Powerpuff Girls) - Good morals, involved Tara Strong (notable VA, known for other work - Bubbles, Raven, Timmy Turner, etc) as Twilight - as well the community tight knit to other facets to my liking: Team Fortress 2 especially. The amount of community content, from cool animation, music, and even a full fledged based fighting game made it very similar to Hololive fanbase/community in just pure hype and togetherness of what a community can do - all in the sake of one thing.

This is, without drawbacks - very questionable art/content and immoral decency that came equipped on top of the fandom, as well as just the sheer presence everywhere (very similar to religious bookshoving or basically spam); painted Bronies in a relative negative light. Like most fandoms, there will be those odd ones that blight the whole community, while some (often most) were there for more respected and positive reasons.

While it was definitely a fad, a lot of cool memories and moments came out of that period; to those who are still fans; or retired ones who rather have this memory to the back shadows of your mind - I salute thee /)

0:16 Bae, no! Do not go down the rabbit hole! God I hope she doesn't go down that dirty rabbit hole.

Either Bae was just born a few years ago, or she was born, sat in a chair for a few years collecting dust, then got up, and decided to be a person.

As someone who stumbled into MLP FiM by accident, it was the memes that made me want to check out the show…all because of Fluttershy and “You’re going to love me”

The writing is punching well above the target demographic and that is what kept me coming back week after week, much like what Rocky and Bullwinkle was doing with its writing of a 1960s Cold War satire. Honestly how many kid shows have references to Apocalypse Now and follow it up with a Benny Hill style chase compete with Yakety-Sax playing in the background? MLP FiM had that in the first episode

And then there's Friendship Is Witchcraft by Sherclop Pones, with such songs as It'll be Okay.

I always wanted my own brother
And then he showed up at our door
I didn't question where he came from
I wasn't lonely anymore
Soon we did everything together
He taught me how to fly a kite
I watched him grow into a stallion
I watched him sleep in bed at night
It's not creepy

But then he signed that record label
A cute quintet of boyish sound
But now that everybody loves him
I'm just a face out in the crowd
I threw myself into my studies
To have the world in my control
I vaporized the competition
Nobody understands me
It's not evil

I gave you my heart and then you turned around
Romantic pony dreams, they never came to be
I gave you my heart and then you turned around
Twilight please make this song end, we're a bunch of floating heads!
Just take it from me, I know you'll come around
Though the law forbids it, this is kismet
Say "I do" and seal our souls together
Voulez-vous, our love will last forever
Since we're not related it'll be ok
So different now from what it seemed
Now life has killed the dream I dreamed

"That was the creepiest thing I ever heard!" - applejack immediately after the song.

Most bronies I spoke to say they thought the writing was good.

best way to describe it: its like the sonic fandom, just ponies.

At this point bae is just this weird combination of sheltered and zoomer that makes for funny moments like this because her ignorance on things can be chalked up to one for the other.

"Not all of them"
I mean I think its most of them if not all of them.
