This tutorial is perfect! Your instruction is so succinct, and what a clever method. I got my first two rows sewn together and started the stitching on a whim last night, and I really enjoyed it. I had no idea what a Kantha quilt was before your video popped into my feed last week, and now I’m hooked.

I hope something wonderful happens for you today! 🖤

What a beautiful quilt - and it's cool to see another quilt-as-you-go method. Thanks - Violet

Yes! Another I love to use old flannel-sheets from the thrift shop to make 'summer-quilts'. Thanks for the inspiration. I've made a chair-cover with the chakra-colours this summer... guess a chakra-kantha-quilt would be make it even better. 😉

Love this! I’ve not done much ‘quilt as you go’ because it’s such a pain to join the blocks into a quilt. I can do this!!!

I was watching Sewing With Nancy and she put together a quilt as you go this exact same way. I was always very intimidated to put a quilt together the traditional way but when I saw this way I was "Now this I can do". I've made 3 quilts this way. I make it with 6" columns.

I've never been a big fan of quilt as you go, but your method is wonderful, especially for this type of coverlet! The finished project will be beautiful! Oh, dear! Now I have another project to try!

Flannel! Genius! We live in the South and it is HOT… this is the perfect solution. I’m a brand new quilter, so thank you for this video!! ❤

Some many years ago I was in an art display—-and I saw a large item done completely with boro stitching. Must be an ages old style of stitching. Lovely stuff.

Beautiful quilt! You explained your technique very well. I have difficulty visualizing the finished product before I make something, unless I've seen it done. This has helped me a lot. Thank you for taking your time and sharing with us. 🇺🇸

Fantastic!! I am only a beginner at this, but I enjoy hand stitching too. This will be my next project. Thank you. I love your videos and the " organic" feel to them.

Thank you so much for this video. I am clueless about Kantha quilts, but I do mostly QAYG, so this is right up my alley!

This is gorgeous and looks like a fun project. I have skirts made from old saris that I never wear, and I am planning to re-repurpose the fabric for a kantha quilt. I think this quilt-as-you-go technique will be perfect!

Thank you so much for your video. I had not heard of the Kantha quilt, but now I know what to do with all of my strips that I have been saving for several years.) .😁

Thank you for you info. This looks so much easier then trying to sew a big quilt on my regular sewing machine. God bless.
