I live in Washington State and see them every year. We are on the Pacific Flyway, and get Tundra and Trumpeter Swans, as well as Snow Geese coming through.

Beautifu 👏 so nicely presented! Love how the birds are impersonated in the whole serie. 🥰

Thanks to my trusty and deeply appreciated Cornell Lab Merlin app, I identified the song of the tundra Swan on this frigid January night on the Eastern Shore of Maryland. I live along the Chester river, which is connected to the Chesapeake Bay. I heard tundra swans, late at night last year here as well. I’m puzzled as to why I would hear them on the US Mid Atlantic Coast in January…because they are passing through…I don’t think they live here, although… Maybe they do? to be explored. Perhaps they are wintering here.

I saw one a few winters ago, here in the midwest. It was an unexpected new sighting, I took a few dozen photos of it.

Looks like the Trumpeter Swans I see in Lake Ontario, only these have a yellow mark on the beak to make them distinct. 🟡
