Показать описание
Phulkari is an intricate handmade Indian embroidery that is practised mostly in the northern Indian state of Punjab. It features colourful intricately woven flower patterns.

The tradition has come under threat from modern embroidery that is made on machines, however a group of women are trying to return Phulkari to its glory days.

The vibrancy of colors, the care of each stitch shows such love for their traditions. I hope they manage to continue phulkari embroidery going for generations to come.

Embroidery It don't seem bad
But when it is shown by BBC it reminds some brutal history of black British era where night won't leave where suffering seem endless

It's great to see culture being kept alive. It looks really tedious to make them especially when you do it constantly but I guess by that point is just muscle memory to them. No wonder they switched to using machines. I hope they sell them for a fair sum of money.

did not doubt, God would deliver them.
And they rehearsed unto me the words of their
mothers, saying: We do not doubt our mothers knew it…..
