More Black men facing joblessness crisis

Researchers say the toll of unemployed Black men is costing the U.S. Economy about $50 billion dollars a year. Algernon Austin, director for race and economic justice at the Economic Policy Institute, joins CBSN to discuss.

Meanwhile we got immigrants coming to America and finding work the same day and starting businesses and being succesful, yet Black men can't find a job.

BM haven’t had a job since 1867. The last time a BM had a job, Abraham Lincoln was alive. He’s the only group of males who have been consistently unemployed for 155 consecutive years straight.

Let's be honest, black men just don't want to work. I personally kno a black man that refuses to work because of child support.

I've told myself time and time again, you don't look for a job, you go out and make money. As a young man I did the paycheck thing. Becoming an entrepreneur became the best move I've made.

Excuse Excuse, Black women are doing better and better every year, passing up the black man faster and faster, its the culture the mindset not racism. When the black ppl in power constantly tell you everyone is a racist everyone hates you anything shortcomings you have you're gonna chalk it up to racism, even if its racism you need to look at yourself first always.
