There are 2 places that initially had impossible burgers last I checked when the burgers were still trying to break into the scene, and both are like $17-$20 here in Silicon Valley. One was in Oakland ($20) and the other is at a chain called "The Counter". Can I try the impossible patty in a burger of my choosing? I m not a fan of the whopper itself. Id love to have it in a western bbq burger. I suppose the Impossible company isn't selling to grocery stores and is more exclusive, selling only to restaurants. As of April 22, 2019, They have rolled out the burgers to Red Robin and there are more local restaurants that carry it. I will most likely try one at Red Robin. At Red Robin, you can order a Caesar salad with grilled or crispy chicken, or with an impossible burger patty chopped up and added to the salad as your protein.

1:40 "It's obviously healthier than a regular Whopper..." What's your basis for that claim? Have you done any research on the nutritional claims of the beef vs. Impossible patty? The Impossible Whopper is only 30 calories less than the regular beef Whopper because it has less fat, trans fat, and cholesterol. But it has higher levels of carbohydrates (because it contains wheat) and sodium. There is a huge debate on how different kinds of fat as well as cholesterol actually affect the body. Ingested cholesterol has shown to have no correlation to cholesterol in the body. Those on a Keto diet would say that they don't want the extra carbs of this burger. The reality is that the nutritional content of any kind of Whopper is based primarily on whether or not you get ketchup (full of sugar), mayonnaise and/or "cheese" because they have a more significant impact on the fat content of the burger.
A lot of people don't appreciate that the Impossible foods patty is a science experiment in genetically modified organisms. Impossible foods figured out how to produce a genetically engineered strain of yeast that produces heme, the ingredient in red meat that supposedly is tasty to human taste buds.

I don't know. The one I tried yesterday was dry, paper thin, and nasty. Maybe they just made it wrong...
