Jeff took his two friends and tester riders, Tracy and Ronnie from Missouri, on a ride on one of his favorite trails here in Colorado and let them try out the all new 2024 KTM 300 XC-W TBI. They shared some of their thoughts with him on this new trail beast.

I'm 73 years old Jeff and a 300 2 stroke is still my weapon of choice for the mountain trails in Idaho.

Great to hear, Jeff. My 2024 TE 300 shares that motor and is enroute! Super stoked here in the PNW!

I wish it wasn’t such a PIA in my state to get a legal tag. Unfortunately, I’ll have to keep riding my old street legal 350 EXC-F. Keep up the great reviews. Watching your reviews reminds me of waiting on the latest copy of Dirt Bike magazine I use to get in the late 70’s and 80’s.

I have the 2023 Husky version. I like the air forks and brake tech. I went up to a 5.5 rear spring and run the forks at around 150. It pretty darn good everywhere! Nice sound with the FMF Turbincore also. I'm coming off a Kreft suspended Athena tuned 2020 FE501 which was my favorite all time bike. Until now.

It’s good I’ve seen Jeff shoot strait so much on this channel. To hear him say, “By far the best 300 ever” has an impact. Jeff wouldn’t have said it if he didn’t believe it and that’s saying a lot about the bike.

I'm 54 and just went back to a 23' 300 XCW. Love it, good with it until I trade her in on a TBI in a few years.

Hi Jeff - great reviews. I would love to see a comparison of the 2024 250 vs 300 XC-W. I have been riding my 2018 250 XC-W (carb) since new and am planning to get a new bike in the next year or so. I have ridden a 2021 Husky TE250, 2022 TE300, 2023 TE300, and a 2023 KTM 300 XC. I have not ridden any 2024 bikes. Every time I compare the 250 and 300, I prefer the 250. For me, the slightly softer low end and nice transition into the meat of the powerband with the clutch works well. Interested in your opinion. John.

Jeff, I'm interested to hear what your fix for the bar position ends up being for this bike. Like you I run the bars on my bike in the furthest position forward and use a full Enduro Engineering spacer kit under them. I hope your commission check from KTM hits your account soon!

Very I'd love to have one... Not sure why they put purple on the 2024's but whatever...

Thanks for the Review Jeff, definitely gonna be picking one these bad boys up soon, have ya ridden it enough yet to determine how many tanks of gas the oil sump will cover before needing to be re filled ? thanks, Roger ..

Every Best 300 Ever!" Exactly what they said about the TPI and even KTM knew they made a mistake. Absolutely hated the power delivery compared to a well jetted Keihin, and that's exactly why I bought a new Sherco 300 SE Factory. That and the superior KYB suspension.

Hi Jeff. I bought the 2024 300 XCW but, mine sputters quite a bit. I also went through a full reservoir of oil in only 1.5 tanks of gas. Shouldn't I be getting several tanks of gas out of a full reservoir?

Is that Trail Tech fan different from previous years? I was going to take the fan off of my 2020 300 tpi and bolt it up to my 2024 xcw

How would you say the new motor compares to a carb model w/ smart carb?
