The main objective of head rolling is to turn away from the strikes coming your way to nullify most or all of the force behind them, and then create enough space/time to reset so you can get back to the offensive. And like he said in the video this is a LAST RESORT when you cant counter and your traditional parrying and blocking and circling isn't working for you

i plan on starting going to boxing. I want to perfect a stance/style which is good all round but also really good for people who can’t really fight. Since i live in a somewhat dangerous area and most of them can’t fight properly.

I gotta point out the error in the way youre teaching this move. The mechanics of it should be done like a cuban check hook where you step diagonally back with the lead leg and rolling without throwing the hook. It shouldn't be practiced turning both ways unless you switch lead legs. Notice Canelo only rolls in the same direction when he does it. His footwork is not always perfect because he sometimes did it when his feet were tangled up, so that shouldn't be followed but it's essentially the check hook mechanics.

Only partially correct that it is not ago to defence, mostly everything else is incorrect. It's was not popularized by anyone in the last 10yrs. Most fighters with agility skills used it. Kid chocolate was one in early 1900s according to his trainer Mo Flicher; in 1980. He considered it flashy n potentially dangerous.
Just because ur articulate don't make it right

That head role been around way before him 🙄... So because we haven't seen it in a long time.. we're giving credit to someone that used it in modern times

Was not popularized by Canelo. It's an old school move from the 1940's fool.
