I must agree with most things stated in this video. However, two of the points made should not be ruled out categorically. First and foremost the undershirt. An invisible skin toned undershirt is always to be preferred over sweat stains, in my opinion. Secondly, I believe that pairing a polo with a blazer or dressy overshirt can be a very nice combination, but that critically depends on which polo and which blazer. A dressy polo with a firm standcollar and a three button placket in a subdued color could easily be worn successfully with a baby cord unconstructed blazer.

As I recall, Popping up the polo shirt collar was popularized by Lloyd Bridges in his role as diver Mike Nelson in the old Seahunt TV series in 1958-59. It looked so cool at the time

I pop my collar especially in summer and don’t give a bleep what anyone says. I make my own style and the way i want to. Also i prefer my polo tight as i am only 5’5” and if i wear them large shirts it looks like more of dweeb. For me really, there is no right or wrong as long as you look good..

My butler told me a gentleman never wears a polo shirt without a jacket as a gentleman should never show his arms. He is actually of the option that one should never wear a polo shirt at all unless playing polo. I concur naturally.

Dear Gentleman's Gazette, I'm getting into Polo shirts more and more. My question is: What can you wear with a poloshirt to stay warm? Can you wear a cardigan, or is it meant to be used on it's own? It's difficult to find something that complements the poloshirt because of the collar. I look forward to your reply.

Lacoste releases a fitting called Paris polo lately which is supposed to be wear with a blazer, I think nowadays it is not a big taboo to wear polo shirt with blazer as long as the collar of the polo shirt stands well

personally I prefer a short sleeve button up shirt with a collar, I feel it's a good alternative to a polo that does work with a blazer or sports coat.

I prefer a zip to buttons as it gives much greater flexibility with adjustments and a neater neck line as the material doesn't overlap like buttons. What's your opinion?

In Ukraine the majority of men wear the collar popped. I guess it depends where in the world you are and how they dress in that part of the world

When I pop the collar of my Ralph Lauren polo shirt, theres a POLO branding in there literally all caps 😂😂
